Begin your evening in Midtown Sacramento for a group of 10 at the studio of artist Adan Romo where he will give an art history lecture that is paired with wine from the region/country of the art he discusses.   In 2001, Adan received a scholarship to apprentice in an old marble studio in Italy. The studio was typical of most marble studios in this coastal Tuscan town – the constant chiseling of marble, the fine cover of white dust on everything, and an array of plaster sculptures accumulated over hundreds of years. He returned back to California with 8 large crates full of these antique sculptures and set out to build a studio to house them. Using reclaimed and salvaged material he took an old 1910 barn located in the historic center of midtown Sacramento and transformed it into his main studio.  Come enjoy art and wine in this unique Italian setting.
